Warner Goes Blu-ray Exclusive

It's official: Warner has announced it will drop its support of the HD DVD format, and will begin releasing its next-gen titles on Blu-ray exclusively. This really sucks! The format war is bullshit to begin with and now with this happening it's easy to see Blu-ray winning. Don't get me wrong I love both formats but I just bought an HD-DVD player like 5 months ago at $600 bucks. Plus all that money I spent on HD films alone is nuts.
Bye HD-DVD we hardly knew ya!

the format war wont end we're going to have to live with 2 formats and dual players are on the way.

I understand that. While we still have HD imports, Universal and Paramount films. It won't be long until the format is dead.

i told ya not to go hd!

even though universal and paramount are exclusive, their biggest flagship titles are spielberg flicks, and the man has come out and said he won't allow his films to be released on the format.

i'm just wondering how toshiba will handle it now, since they only recently paid paramount a good sum for their exclusivity.
